You will always get a better print from a bigger better quality file.I'll go out on a limb. That way if you have a 4948X3280 pixel image out of the camera, then it will save it as a 4948X3280 jpg after you have made any edits that you wish to make. The option you should pick is "Use Original Size" and "Image Quality Max" These files are tiny and you would be lucky if a printer would let you blow them to 6x4" without giving a warning. This possibly stems from an old obsolete monitor resolution 640x480 pixels. I am going to guess that size 640 means that it is resizing the image to 640 pixels on the long side. So if you want a print that is 8x10 you need to use the crop tool in Picasa to make your image the right aspect ratio or 8x10. Any other size print will require trimming, or what is called cropping. Most cameras produce an image that is 2x3, so this will work for paper that is 4圆 or 6x9 etc. Don't forget, when printing you choose the size of the paper, then the aspect ratio of the image has to match the paper size.
The original should be about as large as it gets. If you click on the above link you will see an option to either resize the image or use original. I got this by asking for a search -how do I export images from Picasa? You can try Google yourself by asking the same exact question and going through all the suggestions. You might try a Google search like I just did. Some how your image is being saved as a small image, probably as though it were going to be uploaded to the net instead of being saved large enough to print. So your question should be "after editing my image in Picasa how do I save my image as large as possible for printing"? I don't use Picasa so I can't offer any direct help. You need to understand Picasa before you can fix the problem. The only thing I purchase at CVS is aspirin, and I'm sorry I can't help, and hopefully another hogger can. It is indeed unfortunate you don't have a camera store close to you to assist. I don't want to order from my memory card. I have worked on each of these photos in Picasa and have them the way I want them. Would there be an easier way to get prints. What are they talking about and why are some OK and some not? The photo you have selected has a low resolution that might affect print quality.ġ.Upload the photo using the ∟ull Resolution option.Ģ.If possible, take the photo again using a higher resolution setting on your digital camera.ģ.Try replacing the image with that of a higher resolution. Now, when I go to order them I'm getting this: I have been trying to order prints at CVS and I got them all uploaded.
